  Required to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations (excluding dental), Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Therapy treatments in Iowa. Minimum educational standards must be met as set by the Iowa Department of Public Health. The purpose of this license is to assure the quality of the technologists performing these examinations.

 A. Categories

1. General - must be certified by the ARRT
2. Radiation Therapy
3. Nuclear Medicine
4. Limited

a. Spine
b. Chest
c. Extremities

 B. Requirements

1. 24 hours of continuing education/2 years.
2. 24 hours of continuing education/2 years.
3. 24 hours of continuing education/2 years.
4. 12 hours of continuing education/2 years
