The ISRT welcomes those interested in a leadership role on the Board of Directors. To apply, submit the below information to the President Elect, president-elect@isrt.org. The deadline each year is February 15.

  • Supply a resume with information using these headings, in this order:
    • Employment (past/present)
    • Educational Background
    • Professional Certification
    • Professional Organizational Affiliations (area, ISRT, ASRT, etc.)
    • Professional Awards and Recognition
    • Professional Organizational Experiences
    • Elected Office Preferred
      state which office you are a candidate for
      e.g. President-Elect, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary
    • Statement of Purposes
      your reason why you want to run for this particular elected office
  • Supply a current photo of yourself (JPG format)

Submit all required documentation to President Elect, president-elect@isrt.org.

Duties of Office

All Officers are to hold membership with the ASRT and ISRT, as well as submit a copy of these annual membership renewals to the President of the ISRT for documentation of compliance.

President-Elect:

  1. Prepares and learns the Office of President Duties.
  2. Prepares Scientific Poster Competition.
  3. Attends Budget Committee Meeting (prior to the start of the April Board of Director Meeting) as an invited guest.
  4. Attends quarterly Board of Director Meetings.

1st Vice President:

  1. Must have prior ISRT Board of Director experience.
  2. Presides over the Board of Director Meetings in the absence of the President.
  3. Prepares quarterly report of membership demographics.
  4. Attends quarterly Board of Director Meetings.

2nd Vice President:

  1. Maintains public relations with the Office of the Governor of Iowa for lining up and attending the Signing of the Proclamation of NRTW.
  2. Maintains and updates ISRT Facebook Page, Twitter, and Instagram account as the administrator.
  3. Attends quarterly Board of Director Meetings.

Secretary:

  1. Keeps accurate minute notes of the ISRT Board of Director’s Meetings and Annual Meeting minutes.
  2. Types up minutes of the Meetings, electronically submits them to the President for proofreading. After edits are made, electronically e-mails to all members of the Board of Directors within 2 weeks of the meeting.
  3. Attends quarterly Board of Director Meetings.
